I suffered through infertility having PCOS but was able to become pregnant with clomid. My sister in-law and her husband are now suffering from infertility for a few years now. I believe their problem is her husband's sperm are not formed correctly. Where are the best deals for IVF? Thank you ladies!

i didn't do ivf only iui but here at my hospital one round of ivf is $20,000

In TN it runs between 15,000 and 20,000. Good luck!

It depends on a clinic and a country. Myself I know a few ladies who underwent IVF in Poland (Gdansk), and paid about EUR2,500 for IVF with meds.

IVF is very expensive in the US, and most people aren't covered for it. That was our number one reason for going to a private clinic in Europe for treatment. We spent about $2,800 for IVF+ICSI (including a fresh cycle and the storage costs of our 4 frozen embryos that are still there) and $1,150 for meds.

You really do have to do your research though and find a reputable clinic. We looked at a lot of different ones before we settled on ours in Prague. Turned it into a mini-vacation and stayed for about 2 weeks :)

agreed with SunnyBe. In the US IVF is the most expensive, but IVF clinics get the highest success rates. In someone pays out of the pocket, IVF in Europe might be an option. I would advise to see fertilityfriends and eggdonationfriends, if someone wants to know reviews, stats or prices at clinics in Europe.

I'm sorry, I know this post is a month old--but do you mind me asking if you are satisfied with your experience in Prague? My husband and I live in California and have some wonderful infertility resources. We've worked with great REs, but there isn't a ton of hope for my dh's counts to rise, so we are likely looking at IVF. If we go that route and IVF doesn't work the first round, we will probably have to pull a little from our retirement (of course, I reaaaaallly don't want to do that!).

Thank you for any input :)

We were very impressed with the abroad experience! Unfortunately, the fresh cycle didn't take so we're looking to go back in March for a frozen transfer (still have 4 left).

We picked a clinic with a great reputation. Everything was much more modern than our local IVF clinic. The doctors spoke English and were so patient with me as I had millions of questions.

While there, we also met with another American couple and they were also very impressed with the clinic in Prague compared to their own back in the States.

I kept a full diary of our experience abroad in case you're interested: https://frugalcrib.com/.

@SunnyBe

Thank you so much for your response!:hugs: I'm sorry to hear this past cycle didn't take, but it sounds like the experience itself was a success. Good luck preparing for your March cycle! I will be indulging in your diary shortly! I'm rooting for you and your future nugget <3

@SunnyBe I am sorry yr IVF failed
@SunnyBe, DinoKG - fingers and toes crossed for a positive outcome

I'm going to Reproductive Medicine and Surgery Center of Virginia. It's a smallish clinic but I love the people.

IVF all freeze cycle is 10450, the FET is 2750

I'm doing a success or refund program. It's $20,000 plus medications, it covers 6 cycles and if you don't bring a live baby home, you get $20,000 back.
