How much does/did your newborn eat?

My Lo is three weeks and she is a little piggy! Im mixing expressed milk and formula! she has 6feeds a day normally,going between 3-4hours between feeds and is sleeping about 5hours in the night! shes having roughly 140mls per feed most feeds! sometimes she'll have less but wakes much earlier if thats the case! im worried im not doing it right! am i not feeding her often enough and too much when she does feed! Havent had her weighed this week but she looks and feels like shes putting on weight! whats the norm? (she was7lb 5oz born and was 7.13 last time she was weighed) x

the best way to see if they're getting enough is by looking at diapers. as long as she is having plenty of wet and dirty diapers, there's not much need to worry you're doing a great job! from about 3-4 weeks on my LO has been nursing every 3 hours

She has lots of wet ones,not as many dirty,1-2a day most! Just seems like loads to feed such a young baby! xx

that sounds about normal to me i just googled how many ounces 140mls is and it's four ounces. my LO, when we gave expressed milk, got 4oz bottles every 3 hours until 4 1/2 months when we bumped it up to 5oz.

My LO is 3 wks old and is similar. She feeds every 3-4hrs in the day and at night every 4hrs sometimes longer.
She takes 120ml (4oz) each feed and sometimes wants more.
She now weighs 8lb2oz and was born 7lb4oz.
I'm not worried, she's healthy and feeds well.
Sometimes if she wants more after emptying a bottle I'll give her boiled cooled water and after sucking that for a few mins she's content enough to sleep.
Sounds like your LO is doing great to me, nothing to worry about.
