How much for 12 week old?

Ive just switched to formula feeding after exclusively breast feeding for 12 weeks and have no idea how much to give her!

I breast fed her last night before bed but topped her up just with 2 oz of formula then today she had 5oz at 8am, 6oz at 12.30, 5oz at 4 then another 8oz between 6 and 8pm (in little bits - I kept thinking she was full then she'd go for my boob!) This seems like loads - surely she wasnt getting this much when she was breastfed?

How much are you/did you give your 3 month olds?

Ava is 11 weeks and has 5 - 6 6oz bottles a day, about 30-36oz a day and the HV said that was fine for her age as she sleeps through most nights. What your LO is taking sounds about right to me hun, especially as you've switched from BF. I say this as you dont really know how much LO takes off the boob so just follow LO's lead

Thanks hun! She used to feed quickly on my boob but I think it flowed faster so couldnt even begin to guess how much she was feeding! I guess its back to feeding on demand! If shes hungry, i'll feed her some more! xxxxx

we feed on demand but he takes roughly 7to 8 oz every 3 hours for 5 feeds sometimes 6 then sleeps 12 hours at night! hes nearly 11 weeks! x
