Right now bubs is taking around 2oz - 2.5 oz a feed and eating most to all of it. The formula I have though, only lets you make either 2oz or 4oz. If I up it to 4 oz I will certainly throw away a lot at the end of each feed, but it's easier than making half a bottle.

Just wondering what others are doing?

I thought all formula was just 1 spoonful for 1 oz of formula?
(I've only used the one I use though so maybe its just that one that does that?)

Just make up more than you think you need and toss the rest. That way you know your baby is getting enough (since they will let you know when they are done).
One thing I do is make bottles around what I think she usually takes. Then if she wants more at the end of the bottle I pour sterile water (I make extra bottles of it when making up my water for the day) into the bottle we just used to make another half bottle.

All the formulas here are different on how many scoops per oz. We were on one that was 1 scoop/oz (1 scoop per 30ml), but now on one that is 1 scoop per 2oz (1 scoop per 50ml).

Just measure out 1 and 1/2 spoonful hun and it will make 3 ounces.

Do you guys make the sterile bottles and then put the powder in right before feeding? That's how my stuff works. Just wondering if I can keep the sterile water / bottles on the counter so it's room temp, or if it needs to stay in the fridge?

I keep my sterile water bottles in the fridge (mainly as it's out of the way and then OH wont be making sandwiches over the bottles), but have heard other people keep them on the counter
I don't think that much of anything would grow at room temperature in just water that was boiled and bottles that were sterilized and sealed.
I've left bottles of water out overnight at room temp (when LO ended up not wanting them) and used them, and I've carried the water around should I need to feed on the go.

We make feeds up with an extra ounce in them so we know that Callums full, at the minute hes drinking 5oz so we make up 6oz bottles to be sure he's full. I make up feeds 12 hours beforehand and put them into the fridge xx
