My dd is 16 weeks old and is having to take Nutramigen formula for Cows milk protein allergy. Started taking the bottle on Saturday after a 3 week battle... but not sure how much she should be taking...she's averaging about 80/90ml but it takes ages!! I think she may be ready to change from 3 hours to 4 hours rutine...
Is 90 ml enough for a 16 week old?

Did u change the teat size? Omar was taking around 24-28 oz in 24 hrs. around 3 bottles X 180 mls & 1 bottle x 210 mls at bedtime. He used to have 1 bottle every 3.5- 4 hrs & sleep through for 12 hrs without feeds. he's a big baby 82nd percentile for height & weight.

yes, changed the teat size 2 days ago, she's slowly taking more and more, about 100 each feed now.

Hi hun. It doesnt matter how much she's taking per feed. How many mls/ozs does she take in 24 hrs? If she takes 26-28 oz in 24 hrs, I think it's enough. As for stretching, try 1st with 3.5 hrs & see how it goes. She might start taking more. It's trial & error, & some babies r not big eaters. If she was BF before, it would take some time for her to adjust to taking more formula as it's more filling. My LO is not keen on formula & he's been FF since day 1. The max he went for is 28 oz at 4 mnths, then he started dropping ozs. As long as she starts to add weight steadily, u dont need to worry about ozs.
