Hey girls, since aimee's birthday is coming up im curious, How much did you/ are you planning on spending on your LO's first birthday?? And what did/will you do? Did/will you do a theme, where did/will you have it? And for those that have already had it what would you change if anything, and what did you get them ? So intrested to see :)

I'm not too sure, I'm sure ill end up spending a lot lol .. But now your making me want to really start thinking about it all! :haha: lol xx

LO's birthday is in August, and so far we've planned to have a BBQ but that's weather dependant! We might hire a room in a hall instead, just to be safe, and then have a BBQ ourselves if it's good weather.
We're going to hire a bouncy castle and probably will have a theme. I'm not sure what though! I'll probably get a cake made for her, I have so many ideas but I know I'd never get it right or how I planned in my head! :haha:
We're going to get her a trike from us for her present.
Totals:

Cake - £30
Bouncy castle - £120
Trike - £60
Food - £30
Plates/cups etc - £20
Hall hire - £40

Jeezo, when I see it written down  Never realised it was £300!!

Ive decided not to have a LO's party just have family round so just getting a cake and balloons and some grub. Ill go all out when she is older but not this year. Got her loads of pressies but not a big party.x

LO is only 8 months but I've been buying bits (mainly eBay or good offers on Amazon), and have probably spent around £60. I've also used my Tesco clubcard vouchers to "double up" so got £90 of stuff for £45. I'll get her a few more bits too!!!

We're havin friends and family round to our house, and I'll probably decorate a bit - super girly! That will probably cost a bit plus food etc! Oops I've got no control!!!

We set a limit of £100.00 on presents but we are having a party. I'm not too sure how much that would have cost... I've not spent a huge amount on anything In particular. I estimate food costing around 60.00 then I've spent around £20 on party bags, we've managed to get a bouncy castle f.o.c as hubby's friend hires them out (we wouldn't have bothered with it otherwise) and I've spent about 25.00 on decorations (bunting, banners and balloons-we're having it outside) and then there's the cake which my mum paid for which was £40.00. So yeah actually it's mounted up but we didn't have her christened so its her 1st proper celebration! It's on Sunday I'm soooo excited!!! We're having an English tea party theme... Lots of floral bunting and lots of baby pink, I figured I may aswell do it something I like this year as next year we'll have to have peppa pig I bet! Xx

I don't even want to think about the cost of it after the money we spent on her christening a few months ago! Shes not getting alot for her 1st birthday from us because shes more than happy pulling out the cards out of my purse or the receipts out of OHs wallet. Shes not too interested in toys at the moment and I know she will get lots from family and friends anyway so shes going to be getting 2 presents: A ride along fisher price dinosaur thing that has a seat that separates into 2 so she can walk with it aswell as sit on it and a dolly that I saw in sainsburys and when I showed it to her she grabbed it and kissed it so Im thinking that will go down well.

We are having a bbq with family and a couple of local mums/babies I know and will get the usual bbq grub, salad, drinks and a paddling pool for the kids and some balloons.

Oh and a cake of course, oh dear this is going to cost! :haha:

A lot lol.

Party: 90 for hall, 180 for toddler sense
Cake: 45 for party cake and 10 for cake to cut on her actual birthday
Invites, decorations, cups, plates etc: 40
Party bags: still to do
Presents: around 200 (maybe slightly more)
Day out for birthday: not 100% sure where we are going but i imagine itll be around £30ish

So yeah...spoilt baby lol x

We went to Chessington world of adventures (theme park in the UK). With the tickets, food and presents I spent around £200-£300 on his birthday x

We will spend £100 on presents as we did for our little girl. We are making the Birthday cake.
For my girls we threw a party at our house for close family and friends. A few decorations and buffet. Didn't have a theme as such, just pink pink pink! Lol! We went to the beach with her just the three of us the day after too.
We are not doing a party for our boy coz we are moving house soon and I felt it would put too much pressure on us. We are taking him to the zoo. We are seeing family at a BBQ in a couple of weeks anyway too xx

Oooh, i forgot to say, aimee is having a rainbow themed party: plates, steamers baloons ect. Ive spent around 150$ on decorations, plates, cutlery and goodie bags, and i figure ill spend around $100 in food and $50 on presents... were serving bbq ... there will be around 6 kids i assume but im invitin 9 or so of my friends and their toddlers .. everyone keeps saying i spent too much, glad to see others that spent around what i did :haha: cant believe i have almost everything 3 months early :haha: ohhh and im making a cake thats a giant cupcake to serve, aimee is getting a small heart shaped smash cake, and im making 'adult' caramel frappacino cupcakes... everything else will be iced with whip cream... OHs birthday is two days after hers and im making him a boob cake :haha:

I spent about 50 euro on presents and made the cake myself which cost about 10 euro in ingredients. We just had a few people round, nothing special as LO didn't know any different but we're going to go all out next year when she will probably realise what's going on. We probably spend another 10-15 euro on food for the guests. We also had a tea party when I was visiting my mum and I think she spent about £40 on stuff.

We then took LO to Berlin zoo the day after her birthday, cost 60 odd euro in diesel to get there and 30 odd euro for tickets for three of us plus LO to get in. So yeah, we didn't spend that much really.

$200 party
$100 photos
$100 clothes
$100 toys & books

This is his cake smash outfit...

We spent about $200 on gifts. Didn't really spend anything on her party as it was just a casual BBQ at our place.

$2.50 for ice cream.
No party, no presents.

Not sure of the exact total but here's an estimate:

~$100 on gifts (2 nice pairs of shoes plus a few small toys)
~$50 on cake and party food
~$30 on decorations

For a total of around $180. It was a really small party at home and I probably could've decorated for less money but I decided to get some fun plates and banners and stuff.

We don't live near family or anything so for LO's actual birthday, we just had fun finger food and went swimming.

We celebrated his birthday earlier in the month when we were home for Thanksgiving.

I don't have price set on what I would like to spend on my DS's first birthday but I am not doing anything extravagant so I don't expect the bill to be large. I am going to do a party at our home with family and friend's. I will have lots of finger foods and most likely some type of meat available to eat. I would like to do a dinosaur theme since my DS is not old enough to have a favorite cartoon character.

I will have games available for the kid's that are age appropriate and goody bags for each individual child.

On my DD's first birthday I did the same thing and it was fun. We did not have too many or to little people, we did simple finger foods and hotdogs/hamburgers, and we did a Minnie Mouse theme. It was relaxing and the kid's loved playing together. When my DS was ready for a nap we shuffled her upstairs into her room and she slept for about 6 hours!

Cleaning up isn't fun because everyone leaves plates, silverware, and cups strung about. Make sure you and your OH are prepared to clean up if you do it at your house. It takes maybe an hour or two to get everything in order and put away.

We'll get her one big present (no more than £50...still deciding between some kind of ride on toy and lego...) and we'll have a few friends and family over. Most of my family lives abroad, so it'll just be a few people anyway, no point renting a hall. I will make a couple of cakes and we'll have a BBQ/finger foods, depending on weather...I don't think food will cost us more than £50.

We don't have loads of money to spend on her birthday, and even if we did, we don't want her growing up expecting loads of presents every year. One big one is enough.

I'm not sure. Id like to keep the budget under $200 for decorations, cake and food, as well as his gifts from us. I've already bought some party things in advance instead of all at once. His party is just 1st birthday themed, with blue and green.
