How much is too much?

Hi ladies!

Hope you are all well, I have a wee 7day old and switched to ff on day 3 so still finding our feet and was wondering how much is too much and too often? During the day she is having 3oz which is what she is due according to the tin and takes it between 3-4hrs but at night she seems restless and feeding about every 2hrs on 3oz she is finishing these bottles so does that mean she needs more or is just a hungry girl?

And info and advice would be great am such a worry wart about everything

Heya.

Ignore the tin guidelines, they are outdated and do not reflect current NHS guidelines to feed on demand whether you breastfeed or formula feed. When a baby starts draining each bottle then you should add an extra oz, so up your lo's feeds to 4oz. You dont have to stick to a 3-4 hourly routine, and if your baby wants feeding every 2 hours, then thats completely fine. Feed her whenever she wants, and as long as she is not throwing it back up again then she is only taking what she needs. xxx

Thank you for getting back to me I have the MW tomoro so will take it frm ther but I'm in agreement that it need to be up'd as she is finishing the 3oz easily
