Hi all,

Our LO is 4weeks old boy and weights 8lb 8oz he is wanting 6-7oz of hungry baby cow & gate every 4 hrs. I don't wanna stop him from eating as he'll only scream the house down, but will his feeds slow down as they have been increasing every week.

Does any one else have a hungry baby??

Thank you in advance
(this is first time on here)

My LO at one point was having 5 oz every 2 hours (when she was 5 weeks), she now has 5-6 oz every 4 hours, so the time between has increased. your LO may stay on that amount for ages. It may be worth talking to your HV just to check it is ok

its fine hun every baby is different, morgans been on 8oz now for 6 wk he was 8.15 when born !! when hes a bit older u can give him water x

Carter was born at 8 lbs 3 oz than went down to 7 15 now hes weighed in at 9 15 today hes only 2 weeks and he can put the food away at 4 oz sometimes every hour its rediculous but if i dont feed him he roots around forever and freaks out.

Yes he's taking quite a lot of milk, but remember he is going 4 hours between feeds which is pretty good for a 4 week old. Mine was only going about 2.5 hours in the day at that age, and about 6 hours at night. You're doing fine :)

Sienna is 4 weeks and she generally has 5oz every 4-5 hours... Although her mid morning feed she only has 3oz and then totally zonks out refusing to take anymore.

Every baby is different though and you may find he does slow down... I have read that you cant over feed a baby at this age as they will bring up what they dont need.

my LO is taking 5-6 oz every 3 hours or so but going 6 hours at night, im giving her water to however she is still getting used to this.

my HV said just feed her when she is hungry so i do, im thinking of putting her on hungry baby but they have advised to try and hold off for a while.
