Hi all - I am a FTM and have been breast feeding for just over 4 weeks now. I just wanted to know how many glasses of water you are making sure you drink enough each day to help with your milk supply? Is it just water that helps and no other fluids ie squash/juice?

May be a silly question but thanks :)

i just drink about 3 glasses of water a day and a cup of tea and a cup of coffee and sometimes i drink even less water than that and my milk supply is great! i have been breastfeeding nearly 4 months now :)

I drink about 3 lites of water/squash plus a couple of cups of tea a day. I get the sweats when i nurse so i am constantly thirsty

You only need to drink enough to stop yourself being thirsty. Drinking more won't increase your milk supply.

That's a great site - thank you!

I have a 750ml bottle i carry with me. And fill it up about 6 times in 24 hrs...so about 4.5 litres
