How often do you take LO to the clinic?

Adam is 2 months old and our first clinic visit will be when he goes for his jabs. No idea if I should have taken him before - HV never mentioned it.

(It's annoying me how I'm never told anything. I didn't even know there *is* a clinic at my doctor's surgery till today.)

Adam was weighed today, at home by the HV, last time was a month ago, should he have gone before now?

I don't take Mailie often but I took Noah even less, I think there's about 8 weigh in's in Noah's red book and about that in Mailie's at 6 months but that's because she's a slow gainer so I went for my own piece of mind, just go when you want to lol there's no strict guidelines.

Ours is like that but I rarely go because it absolutely stinks in there of stale baby poo, plus its like a greenhouse so stuffy and smelly, makes me feel ill lol!

ive only taken eden to get weighed once since we were discharged by the midwife.

i can tell shes putting weight on and growing, shes growing out of her clothes like theres no tomorrow

i just dont like taking her when its cold and getting her undressed after weve just come out of the cold.

i didnt go a lot with my others either, i stopped going with daisy when the young girl with no kids doing the weighing started giving me lectures on how my LO wasnt gaining weight fast enough and i should be feeding her more, then the next week telling me to drop some feeds cos she had gained to much weight

When Brooke was smaller i used to take her every 2 weeks but now she's older i go once a month and will do so until she's 1, then after that they say every 6 months but Brooke is small and doesnt gain a lot of weight so i think i'll go every 8 weeks just to keep an eye on it for a while

I never took her apart from when she went to get jabs and her home visits when she was newborn and her 6 month dev check.

I used to take Byron every two weeks but now it's more like once a month and I'm back to work on weighing day in Jan so who knows when he'll get weighed then?!

I'm not in the UK but we took her for a two week checkup and now she'll have a two month, four month, six month, etc. Every two months. Every two weeks would be nice just for the weight check IMO. But it doesn't work like that here.
