How often does your cat go on heat/season???

So our kitten has now had 3 seasons. She is 8 and a half months old and we are planning on getting her spade when baby comes along (so hubby can take her to vet as I cant get there)

Now she came off season a week and a half ago..... But yesterday she was very cuddly and then today she started treading and meowing again!!! Can she really come back into season THIS quickly????

I'm asking as also I am in very early stages of labor.... Could she not be in season but reacting to my hormones that are now being produced??? I thought cat seasons were every 3-4weeks??
