How often does your F/F baby poop?

Hi Girls

How often does your formula fed baby poop?

I was breastfeeding until about a week ago & so was used to LO pooping in every nappy

Now, she hasnt pooped for 2 days (today is the third) & im a bit worried as to what is normal?

(She is on Aptamil 1st milk)

yeh libby usually goes every 2 days and usually poops on a night feed i was shocked when i changed too as I was used to lots of poop in every nappy x

every baby is differnt, some babies can go days and be fine, others can go days but be constipated. As long as when your baby does go it isnt like little hard pebbles, then its fine and they arnt constipated. Even if they look as if they are straining, but poo is fine, they are just 'learning' how to push it out!! xx

My LO usually goes every 2-3 days and when she goes, boy, she goes!

As long as like someone else said, your LO's poos aren't pebble like than that is fine I did read that some newborns don't go for 4-5 days and it's totally normal, especially through a growth spurt as there is no waste from the milk as their bodies are using everything from their feeds.

That really puts my mind at rest

She went a day without pooping before & went on the 2nd day & it was soft...Lots of it too! So im pretty sure she isnt constipated

Sometimes every day sometime every other day. When I first switched DD to formula completely I ended up having to give her an ounce or two of pear juice a couple times a day until her body got used to the new food.

It will take her body time to get used to the new food. We also have an issue with "free water" not getting enough fluids from formula alone. You'd have to discuss this with your baby's doctor.

Yey....She finally pooped last night!

& boy did she poop! No problems with constipation at all...As 'mrsrabbit' says, its probably her body getting used to the new food

my LO is 7mths but poos everyday like clockwork just AFTER her morning bath.
dirty little minx!!!

once sometimes twice a day, I wouldn't worry, it may take a few days to settle down now you are ff xx

Actually, it was all up her front! Right up to her belly button!

Think it was where I carried her to change her Have learnt from that now though!

Mine is on Apt 1st milk too and I stopped bf two days ago, mine didnt poo for 24 hrs and now only poos a little poo once a day and its like soft clay not loose like bf.

Mine poops everyday. She skipped a day last week, and the next day had 3 poops!!

usually everyday but if she misses a day she will do one the next morning and then one at night aswell x
