Im hopefully starting to wean my lo in the nxt week or so,she will be 5mths by then.im going to start her off on the baby rice but im unsure when to introduce new foods such as fruit&veg.ive googled this, some websites say to intoduce new foods every 3/4days incase of allergies other sites say you dont need to do this and others dont mention new foods at all, so now im completely unsure how to go about it. Any advice ladies?

It's totally up to you. I kinda followed the 4 day rule initially, I let him try one food for 4 days then introduced another. He didn't have all the foods on their own though - eg if apple was first, after 4 days I introduced pear but would sometimes mix them together and then after another 4 days would introduce another food and give various combinations of the 3. It's fine to do that in the beginning when they hardly eat anything at all but my LO took to it really well and soon was having decent little portions so after he'd had a few first tastes we just went for it and just kept track of what he'd eaten otherwise it would have been pretty dull for him.

I wouldn't bother with baby rice on it's own. Not only is it disgusting but it's boring and I don't see how it's beneficial when you're trying to introduce them to new flavours.

I never waited any time between new foods! We have no family history of allergies and my LO eats what we eat.

We never delayed introducing new foods and honestly if there isn't a history of allergies in your immediate family, then I wouldn't bother. The first day we started weaning my daughter had probably 7 different things. If you or your partner have a food allergy, I'd be cautious about those particular foods, otherwise just have at it. Food allergies are rare and if you have one, it will probably be pretty obvious and you can deal with it then.

No food allergies in the family so guess i had better go food shopping lol
