How soon is too soon??

Just wondered how soon is too soon to ?

When I was discharged from hospital the nurse said whenever I feel ready, but I've read that too soon can cause infection. My m/c was 2 weeks ago, I've stopped bleeding and not in pain anymore, so thinking maybe I'll be ready at the weekend??

Just need to decide whether to take precautions or let nature take it's course, I guess!!

to be fair i dont know about the infection thing but if you feel ready then thats the right time for you just take things easy and take care

things should be fine now, and if you feel ready then i say go for it. we started trying again 2 days after the bleeding stopped, a week after the m/c.. and everything is still okay, even tho its been 7 months and still nothing lol. good luck

We BD again as soon as I stopped bleeding. The advice out there is conflicting, so you need to go on what your body is telling you, if you can. Good luck

Thanks for the advice ladies. This whole experience has just made me scared about everything! I guess I need to just start listening to my body again - the worst has already happened, after all!

I only started to bd when I stopped bleeding. Think I will wait one cycle to try again. Hope you have fun this weekend

Lol thank you - I'm hoping I might be feeling a bit more like myself this weekend as OH is actually taking me away to try and help me feel better before I have to go back to work and real life next week. Bless him!

I hope everything goes weel for you chick. We BD a few times during the second week after D+C as i thought bleeding had stopped, but ended up spotting alot. I finally stopped bleeding last Friday (almost 3 weeks after op). So we have decided to try BD now, as we were before nad if it happens it happens.

Hi Holly, Medically my doctor told me I could start trying right after my 2 week post op appointment. Since I was using an IUD for BC and never had the chance to have a period when I got removed since I got pregnant right away, I decided to wait a couple of months. Hubby and I just started trying this month. If you feel ready...Go for it! Good luck!
