Hey Ladies

So I'm wondering how thin is too thin. I've had 2 c/s Feb 2007 and June 2012, then in the fall I had an ectopic pregnancy on my c-section scar, ended miscarrying and then had a mass of pregnancy tissue that was stuck in my scar and ended up growing and going all of the way through my uterus wall. The mass was about 2.5 inches x 2.5 inches.

I just had an ultrasound last week which said my current, non-pregnant uterus is about 3.6 mm thick around my scar. Doc said still too thin, and that we'll do another u/s in 4 months to check the thickness. Doc says this mass makes my risk more than someone who's had 3 c-sections... but that's it.

So I've been trying to find how much your uterus thins throughout a pregnancy, and how thick should be okay to try for another baby.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

Kim

They don't actually know, there actually hasn't been enough studies on this. Its all personal preference for doctors, really,.

thanks... that's what I figured... do you know how much a uterus thins throughout a pregnancy? I assume they don't check thickness very often on non-pregnancy uterus' hahaha

I think it'll have to be significantly thicker in 4 months for us to consider it.... sigh.. so devastating...

During pregnancy, not sure i'd imagine everyone is different and long labors can thin it too..
