I have my doctors appointment already booked for when it gets to 1 year. We have previously has successful ivf treatment on the NHS and are now trying for no.2 naturally (knowing that we have unexplained infertility). I've booked the appointment to see if they can do anything for us (e.g. Redoing blood tests) knowing that help will be limited.
At the same time, I believe that I may have undiagnosed PCOS. My ovaries are apparently polycystic in appearance, I have irregular periods, and I have problems with unwanted facial hair (plucking several times a week). However, my previous fsh/lh levels have not indicated PCOS and I'm underweight (I know that doesn't rule it out, but doctors tend to focus on it).
When it comes to the appointment I'm not sure whether to:
A) focus only on not having conceived, ignoring concerns about PCOS
B) focus on PCOS, stating my genuine concerns about it leading to diabetes, and ignoring the fertility side
C) mention both
I just don't want to be fobbed off and I've found that it can sometimes depend on how you 'play' the appointment. Does anyone have any advice?
