how to conceive advice please

Hey,

We currently have a 6week old who was the good out of something bad and we would love to give him a sibling we looked online but we can't afford to pay hundreds of pounds and we can't find any places were people are willing to help and also we want to both be offical parents as so we don't have legal cafafel like we will have to do now .. So if anyone can help us to achieve our dream and make our family complete then thank you x

Hi hun,

Firstly congratulations on your beautiful baby. In relation to trying for #2 there are a few different sites out there which you could try : FSDW, co-parent, tadpole, pride angel, I'm sure there's more just can't think any at the moment. As for you both being legal parents you'll need to be in a Civil Partnership before you conceive. This will enable both of you to go on the birth certificate. Hope this helps xx

I agree with Kezza hun...you have to be civilly partnered to both go on the Birth Certificate.

Beware though...there can be some creepy individuals, and also some out to cause trouble. If you keep your wits about you and look through the donors on the BFP and recommended lists then you can't go far wrong

It took 2 cycles for us both times, using the AI method. The first time was March 2012 - but I ended up miscarrying unfortunately. I then didn't have a cycle for 6 months...messed up body! I then had a chemical the first try after MC and then our Mr man was conceived in November

We bought 10ml syringes from Ebay, sample pots also from Ebay and Conceive Plus from Boots. We usually booked a hotel room for donations, but we went with asking our donor to come to our home the last time (we had built up enough trust over the months, and felt comfortable enough).

Are you TTC? Good luck with it!! I don't know what method you're using but I charted with fertilityfriend.com and also temped. It helped me figure out I ovulated usually 2 days after a + LH surge and was around cycle day 19 - 21 ish (which obviously wasn't the middle of my 31 -32 day cycle lol). Without those OPK's I am sure I would have no clue even now!!

We've tried every method we can think of. This last few we've tipped the donation straight in to a mooncup and put it in then lay on the bed with legs in the air. So we don't lose any and they don't get hurt in the syringe, what method did you do exactly? Down to the T if you can remember so we can try it.

How old are you guys? We are 32 and 34, where abouts in Yorkshire are you from? We are from Lancashire but travel to Yorkshire for our donations

I'm from Huddersfield...sorry about no BFP yet - but don't lose hope...it WILL happen I am sure

I inserted Conceive Plus into my lady part (lol) just before we left the hotel room for the donor to do his stuff. Sample was produced within about 20-30 mins. Basically we got to the sample within a few minutes of being produced and used it straight away. My wife used a syringe to suck up the contents and slowly released it inside as deep as poss. I made sure I (TMI ALERT) orgasm'd and left the syringe in there for 20 mins or so with my legs up against the wall and a cushion uinder my bottom.

After 20 mins we removed the syringe (it's not the most comfortable tbh lol) and continued to keep the same position with bottom/legs in the air for another 15-20 mins. Off we went then and drove the 1 hr 40 mins home

Oh and I am 29 and OH is 52 (not TTC) xx
