When I feed LO he takes 2oz, every two hours. Really I'd like him to take 4oz, every 4 hours but he just won't drink more than 2! Any tips? He is nearly 7 weeks old.

I do stuff like wind him half way through and changing his nappy if he falls asleep to wake him up, but still no luck.

If hes falling asleep maybe the teats are too small ? Is he taking it slowly ? Or could just be thats all he can fit in at that time.. geez im no help at all :dohh: Im sure he will space it out soon, Lissy feeds every 3 hours.

Hes at prime growth spurting age so i wouldnt try and space his milk out yet. Growth spurts typicaly mean more frequent feeds and sometimes more sleeping.

Give it a week and see if theres any improvement.

You could try faster flow teats so its easier for him to get more milk more quickly. That way he might take more and then go longer till the next feed.

Yep, same here, my LO went from 2oz every 2hrs to 4 every 3-4, by changing to the next size teat, it might be that he's just bored, and falls asleep cos its too much trouble sucking heh, be like drinking a bucket of water through a straw lol

I'll try the next size teat, thanks for all your advice!

I also think he's having a growth spurt so maybe that's whats going on.
