Sophia has reflux and we are slowly getting it under control with ranitidine. One of the things that is really helping is raisng her mattress in the moses basket and pram so she is not lying flat.

However... she slides down the mattress as she is sleeping and her legs are all scrunched at the bottom, also I'm paranoid aboitut her sliding under her blankets.

Does anyone have any tips? It is really helping to keep her at an angle though.

Could you try placing her at the bottom of the bed to start with and then tucking her in firmly, with the edges of the blanket under the mattress?

That should hold her firmly in place

Huuuuge Congrats on your Rainbow by the way :hugs: Eva must be so proud :D

Thank you :hugs:

I have tried that but maybe I'm not tucking it in tight enough, she is such a wriggler too which isn't helping!!!

We had this problem too!

It was becoming a bit dangerous as LO started to roll etc. so we ended up only raising the mattress very slightly and using a sleep positioner to keep her on her side inside which helped just as much with the reflux (left side is best but use the right side sometimes too to prevent funny head shape). xx

We have a safababy sleeper (google, for some reason i ca t post a link!) and have ally in a sleep bag :hugs:

You can get something called a Snoozzz wrap or Safe T Sleep wrap which holds them in place, designed for reflux babies :flower:

Do you swaddle Hon? That tends to stop them wriggling quite so effectively LOL .... swaddle and tucking in tight keeps them in place better, but I'm not sure that works with a reflux baby ... none of mine had reflux so I'm not sure of the 'rules' :(

Are you raising the actual mattress with a pre formed wedge or are you raising the legs on the moses basket/crib? If the former then perhaps you could try using books (like yellow pages etc) to raise the actual legs on her bed to an angle which still relieves the reflux, but isn't 'steep' enough to cause her to move down ? :flower:

Thanks for all the suggestions - will get googling these different products.

I have raised the mattress with a wedge but I think it might be a bit steep, I might try a few different things instead, maybe a flatter cushion or a book might be better.

We have a wedge and also the blocks, so we can vary the height...baby reflux has good products
