He's 5 months old and got 2 teeth, so now every now and again he bites me, OUCH!
How can i stop him ? because he doesn;t realize yet that he's doing it. I still want to breastfeed for a long time
I do give him teething rings and stuff but he still does it

I would just tap Hayden's mouth, not smacking at all, just touching it and tell him no sternly so he knew I was saying no about him biting. If he did it again I would take him off for a few minutes

I've read that if your LO starts biting then you can either take them off for a short time each time they bite so that they learn biting means that feeding stops, so learn not to do it, or put them closer to the the boob so they have to open their mouth wider which stops them biting.

Not sure if either works - my Neve hasn't got any teeth yet so I haven't tested either of these but I hope it's useful.

When is he biting? At the start or the end? When Bren would bite at the start, I would first give him my finger to bite down on, then latch him on and he soon stopped. Now he tends to bite towards the end of a feed, so I just need to start watching him. If he bites me during, I take him off, and end the session. It is hard, but it will pass.

at the end, also at night when he wakes up for a feed with his eyes closed:dohh:

Alexa used to do it "by mistake" but now that she knows my reaction, she knows not to do it anymore. It will be awful for a while, but I am sure he will learn not to anymore.

The best thing to do then, is just really watch him and when he slows down, just un-latch him. If he fusses, I would give him a minute, then re-latch and if he nurses fine and if he doesn't I would just un-latch him again, and give him something to chew on.
