I say it like A Lar Na but not a clue which spelling would be the most popular way spelt ??? Any ideas

alana is the most popular and most used name thats usually the orginal way to spell it and in most baby books that what you'll find but most people try hard now to spell things differently so i dunno

my son is james and people often ask "how do you spell that" lol i can't help but laugh wasn't sure there was many ways to spell James! lol

That "lar" pronounciation is only in the UK.... in the US any of those spellings would be pronounced "Uh - laa - nuh"... i think all 3 spellings look nice & i've seen them all used... it's just a matter of which one appeals most to you...!
