Does anyone have any advice or any experiences that were calming or 'no big deal'? I'm horrible with pain and I'm so nervous!!!!

Dont be nervous.. be happy that if you do have a blocked tube or something, they blue dye could clear it out..

I havent had one myself.. but I read that some women advised to take some sort of over the counter pain relief medication before the procedure... thats all I can say, sorry.

I wish you luck! I also heard that you have a higher chance of conception 3 months after an hsg.. Thats something to be happy about LOL

Keep us posted on how it it went!

Yep.... Pretty painful! I almost fainted! But it was quick so that was the good part. She said everything looked open and healthy. We are officially 'unexplained secondarily infertile'. Hopefully we will get our bfp within 3 months. That would be the best possible scenario! If not... IUI scheduled for Dec! One way or another we will have a baby!!

Ohhhh that is not good that you said it was painful! I have a low tolerance for pain & I plan on getting one of those if I don't get pregnant before the new year! That is really wonderful news that you're not blocked! I don't think you're infertile. You obviously have a child already (I think I read a post where you said that was your son in the picture)..I just think its taking awhile for this one. But your chances really are higher now that you have had that, so I really wish you good luck! I honestly think you will get pregnant in the next 3 months, but that's just me :) Ill be watching to see if you do!

We were blessed with a beautiful little boy who is impatient for a sibling! Thank you for your optimism. I needed that today! :hugs:

Optimistic, realistic...you're chances truly are higher. Your family is gorgeous...and your son looks the perfect age for a sibling..I know you have been trying for a year +, but perhaps its OK that you didn't right away. The older your first child is, the easier it will be to handle a second one. Not that you couldn't a year ago, but it simply will be easier... I think the timing would be perfect. I'm gonna add you too my prayer list too. :)

I had one a month a go slight cramps for aprox 30 sec. then back to normal I know everyone is different, but I was relieved to find out it was not that badO:)O:)
