Huge BBT Drop

Let me start with, I have PCOS. My periods have been normal since going off the pill in May. Last month, my period was 4 days late, totally not typical.

I am currently 9DPO. Yesterday, my boobs were in so much pain that I could barely raise my arms. Today when I took my BBT, it dropped from 98.30 to 97.53. Is this normal? I shouldn't get my period until the 21st. I'm super confused.

Can we see your chart? Or what is your normal temp? Some people say there is a drop in BBT after ovulation caused by possible implantation.

That could be an implantation dip, or a completely normal secondary estrogen surge. Most cycles I do see a bit of a drop somewhere between 7-9dpo, but it always springs back up.

As for last cycle with AF being 4 days late. Is that 4 days late based on confirmed ovulation, or just suspected? If it was 4 days late from confirmed ovulation, you could have had a chemical pregnancy (very early miscarriage occuring before pregnancy can be confirmed visually with a scan), like I just had this last cycle. Roughly 75% of all miscarriages are chemicals, and it's usually due to a random chromosomal error when the embryo was dividing. It sucks, especially when you catch it on an hpt and know it happened, but it's actually a great sign because it means you conceived, ergo you can conceive.
