Hunger, comfort or cluster

My lo is quite fussy this afternoon and asking to be fed every half hour. She then feeds for 10-15 minutes. I feed on demand so never deny her, but sometimes delay with nappy change or cuddles just to make sure it is food she wants. However I do wonder when she is crying if it is for comfort sometimes that she us sucking? Or is it just extreme cluster feeding? We went to weigh in yesterday and she is gaining very well. 2lb up on birthweight in 5 weeks. Is it ok to let her feed this often?

Hi yes perfectly normal to be feeding that often. I think around 5/ 6 weeks there is a growth spurt as well. Sounds like your doing great x

Sounds like a growth spurt! They cluster feed/feed more often to increase your milk supply to satisfy their growing bodies!
