My LO is almost 9 weeks old and suffering with bad reflux. Weve had Infant Gaviscon without any success and today started Retadine (s?) and so far im not seeing any improvement in that either. Doc advised to try giving less formula, but theres no way in hell im going to let my Lo scream becouse hes hungry.

Hes on 5oz but only goes about 2 hours between feeds hes also in the last few days starting to take 8oz at a time, but not at every feed, only twice a day, the rest is 5/6oz.

Iv tried offering him a dummy instead but hes not comfort sucking, hes hungry, so im wondering if its time to switch to hungry baby milk?

Ive not had any personal experience with reflux, but I have heard that reflux babies do tend to overeat as it soothes their symptons. Maybe go back to your doctor and see if you can up his reflux medicine as you think he may be overeating as a symptom of the reflux. xxxx

Unless he's wanting 8oz every hour then I wouldent switch. If he's hungry then he needs the calories and hungry baby milk doesent contain any more than normal milk.
