Hi ladies

DD2 will be 4 weeks on Saturday and we have noticed that shes always looking for milk. Shes feeding nearly every 2 hours and sometimes taking 4oz sometimes only 2oz. We used to be on a 3/4 hourly feeds now it's all up the wall and shes feeding mostly all over the place. Theres no structure. :-/

Anyone have any suggestions? . Should I try switch her milk to get into some sort of pattern?.

Thanks x

No! She'll be going through a growth spurt, just feed on demand and she will strech out again

Hungry baby milk is designed for babies closer to weaning age who are having 8/9oz every 2 hours and screaming for more

I agree with pp, its likely shes having a growth spurt x

Exactly what jodilee said.
Hungry baby milk is thicker so makes them drink less but it means they don't get the extra nutrition their bodies need during a growth spurt and at this point every day is a growth spurt.

Thanks ladies.

I totally forgot about a growth spurt this young. Cant remember it with DD1 . Will just go with her flow then! .

How long would you say it will be until shes stretching out feeds again? . x

DS was around 3 months before he was on a predictable schedule, now at 5 months he has 4 8oz bottles a day at roughly the same time

Thanks alot for your input ladies.

She seems to have settled down a bit more now so fingers crossed. xx

My little guy seems to want feeding every hour these past few days. Exhausted.com

Oh no !. It does get exhausting especially when you have other children to look after lol.

hope he settles down for you soon xx

Hey! My little one will also be 4 weeks on Saturday and I am going through the same thing. She was feeding every 3 hours with 4oz feeds but 2 hours later, she's looking for more. I think I'm going to give her 5oz from tomorrow. It's hard to know sometimes if you are giving them the right amount!!
