We lost our first at 27 weeks. She died unexpected, so I had to be induced to deliver. Now, our second has stopped growing at 6 weeks. :( We saw a heartbeat at the first ultrasound and were dated at 6 weeks. We went back yesterday (2 1/2 weeks later) and the baby hadn't grown at all and had no heartbeat now. He is feeling like we'll never had a child. The doctor said it is unlikely we would have a problem in another pregnancy, but I'm wondering if it has anything to do with me now. I just don't bleed. If I get a cut, it's clotted within a couple of seconds and I'm already on aspirin. I'm wondering if I need more next time. I'm also wondering if the U/S had anything to do with it. We had an U/S at the MFM, then again at the doctor on the same day. The MFM did both vaginal and abdominal and then abdominal at the OB. The baby apparently stopped growing then. I think I'm going to refuse any early U/S next time just in case. The OB thinks this baby probably had a genetic defect that isn't compatible with life. I'm hoping to get the baby to have testing done.

I am sorry. I haven't begun trying again as we just lost our son at 28 weeks 4/30/12... My prayers are with you.

Don't get down, I know its hard, but an early loss really is because of genetics, its just bad luck, Ive been there on that end, while Ive never had an late loss...I know you must be gutted, and hopefully you guys can overcome it and when you have your baby you will know all the things happened so God/or whatever higher power you believe in, could give you the baby you were meant to have. Thinking of you guys and hoping you guys can get through this!
