We're TTC our second and already thinking of names. Our daughter is Milana Rillian (Mila) and I'd like something old fashioned but with a cute nickname. Husband would like trendy.

you seem to like names that are pretty and end with 'a' your OH likes more modern names so what about a name that is feminine and cute but with a modern nickname?

like:

Alexia (A-lex-ee-a)
Alexa (A-lex-a)
Alexis (A-lex-sis)
Alexandra (A-lex-and-ra)
Alexandria (A-lex-and-re-a)
to shorten to Lexie

or

Johnathan to Johna (jo-na)

Maybe a compromise, nothing too old fashioned or too different/trendy.
