HV checkups?

LO is now 15 weeks and we haven't seen a HV since he was 8 weeks old, was told they'd be in touch about weaning advice (and I know they don't recommend weaning for a while yet if you can help it) I just didn't expect them to go this long between visits just yet.

Is this what tends to happen or have we been forgotten about? Lol.

Sounds pretty normal to me. Last saw the hv at about two months and haven't heard a peep from them since and ds2 is 7 months. Ds1 hasn't seen one since he was very little.

That's ok then! I didn't know whether to phone and make sure they knew we were still alive or not! Haha.

Mine came out last week for weaning advice but they told me they had to see you between 3-5months. She also told me she won't be seeing me again and to just go to clinic for weigh-in and if I have any questions Suits me fine I guess!

Mine came out for the depression screen at 5 weeks that was last time we saw them. I have to take LO to drop in to get him weighed (there is a HV there but you don't actually see them unless there is a problem) otherwise I can call to make an appointment to see them...

That sounds normal. Our HV came out to see us when Holly was born and they said as long as we took her in to get weighed now and then they'd just leave us alone. We had the 8 week check up with HV at the clinic. Didn't have any weaning advice apart from yesterday but that was only because LO had lost weight, it wasn't planned otherwise

I only see my HV if I take LO to the baby clinic to get weighed, my choice though.

Regarding weaning, the HV team put on a class at my local childrens centre, I don't know if you attend one, but you could ask there.

16 week injections last time I saw mine. I assume next time will be the 1 year injections.

Yeah I just saw mine at 16 weeks but she didn't ring until a few days before the appt so it should be soon xx

I saw mine last week at 6 weeks and she said she'd next be in touch around 16-18 weeks

I just got told after lo's 16 weeks jabs that I just had to pop into the clinic if any worries and if I wanted her weighed but she didn't expect to see me until she was 6 months for a check up x
