I'm really concerned. I have hyperthyroidism that comes and goes. I was diagnosed a few years before my first pregnancy. Well my last two pregnancies saw problems with it in my last trimester. With my second pregnancy, I had a resting heart rate of 130 when I was 35 weeks along. I've never had problems in my first and second trimester but this time I am. I'm a small girl as is and started my second trimester on Saturday. I'm 2 lbs below my pre pregnancy weight. I'm still puking a lot. I am exhausted all the time but have trouble sleeping. I'm nervous and anxious and depressed. It's awful. I had an appointment last week and my levels came back irregular so I'm being sent to a specialist. I'm just more worried because my second pregnancy I could feel baby by now. I don't feel anything. So far baby looks good. Measuring ahead of schedule but with a high heart rate. Baby didn't do too much moving on the ultrasound last week though. I want to buy a fetal heart rate monitor but I'm afraid I won't be able to find the heart beat and freak out more. I see the specialist tomorrow. I just need good vibes that they can control some of these symptoms I'm having and that baby does well this pregnancy. Hyperactive thyroid can be bad for baby. :(

Hi, hope things went well with specialist today xxxxx my pregnancy with my daughter who is now 11 was horrible and i was very ill throughout and it was only when she was 2mths old that over active thyroid was diagnosed, they thought the pregnancy hormones had triggered it, anyway i was put on meds and seen every 3mths and started to feel ok again, fast forward 10yrs to my pregnanvy with charlie and my thyroid went into complete overdrive, when they did my bloods at 6wks T3 count was 18.9 where as before pregnancy they had got it down to 3.2, my heart wouldnt stop pounding, i was eating constantly but losing weight, sleeping for only 2 or 3 hrs a night, exhausted yet feeling hyper and manic at same time, they put me on an emmergency plan of action and i saw consultant and had scan for baby every 2wks throughout the rest of my pregnancy. it was a really scary time and they really prewarned me that baby could be poorly when born as my auto immune disease caused by the thyroid would have crossed through placenta there was lots of possibles and maybes but no one could really tell me more than we will have to wait and see and that 2 peadatrition doctors would be at birth and would probably have to take him to special care, i worried every single day and the WORST possible thing i could have done was google it all, please dont, you will drive yourself insane although i totally understand your need for info. anyway he was born healthy after all the worry, he did spend 24hr in care having 15min obs but there was nothing whats so ever wrong with, my levels however didnt get back to normal after birth and i was getting sicker and sicker so when he was 6mths old they did a total thyroid removal, i am still getting used to life after the op, its so weird after 11yrs rushing around and feeling wired all the time to being the opposite, im very tired now and dont have alot of energy i actually miss the overactive thyroid some days but i know it was putting a huge strain on my body and i needed the op.
Please try not to worry which i know is hopeless, just make sure you take all your meds, go to every appointment and make the most of all the extra care you and your baby will get, im sure everything will work out ok xxx
