Hyperemesis question

im currently TTC baby number 4. my other 3 pregnacies have all resulted in me getting hyperemesis baby 1 and 3 was the worst which resulted in being admitted.

my last pregnancy i was admitted finally at 8 weeks (i saw finally but i suffered 2 weeks of non stop sick) 4 days leading up to be admitted i was seen a number of time by the gp and was only the last visit they checked my urine and i was 4+ ketones.

anyhow the hospital changed my tablets which i took for the rest of my pregnancy.

i just wondered if anyone has had it bad in previous pregnancies and then when u have got ur BFP the gp had prescribed something or did u have to wait until u was really bad b4 they helped?.

Given my history of hyperemesis, my doctor prescribed meds for me as soon as I knew I was pregnant. Luckily, this pregnancy was different and I didn't need to take them but 3 or 4 days. The rest of the time the sickness was manageable and by 16 weeks I was over feeling sick. Maybe you will be as fortunate!

This is my first pregnancy. So when i felt quite unwell i went to Primary Care at the hospital, where he gave me Cyclizine to take. I ended up being admitted the next day as i was severely hydrated and had ketones in my urine and a water infection. They were pretty quick with that and wouldn't let me out for a week. I think it depends how good your GP's/Hospitals are.

i am praying that next time round i wont get ill but its happened with all 3 and tbh im not expecting to get away with it seems my body just likes being sick when pregnant.

yeh my hospital with my last was very good they where shocked that for days previous to be admitted it wasnt picked up and finally the gp decided to test my urine and found it +4 in ketones even the midwife didnt test it.

i mite see a lady doctor when i get my BFP and hope shes more understanding, they will have it on my notes so can see how ill i was so lets just hope they are abit more on the ball
