Well done, Jayleigh. I remember feeling all pumped up and proud as punch when we first did it!
Redstring - some people understandably feel slightly apprehensive about breastfeeding in public, especially when baby is very young and they are not 100% comfortable with their technique. I know I was. It is, therefore, very liberating for some of us to be able to overcome that initial trepidation and develop a knack for it.
Not all women are doing it as some sort of demonstration of their bravery but merely because they have a hungry, crying baby who needs to be fed and they don't want to sit in a toilet/smelly baby changing room to do so.
Not sure why that would be deemed to be "backwards"?
