i bought a crib! shopping for baby

i went shopping today with no intentions on purchasing, just to look around and see prices and what's all out there. i ended up buying a crib though! i know it's early but it was exactly what i dreamed of and on sale for HALF PRICE only until tomorrow! it's dark brown and turns into a day bed and a double bed so the LO can use it for quite a long time. i'm in love. so adorable. i feel like the luckiest girl in the world!

hows shopping coming along for you guys? any purchases that made you feel on top of the world?

How exciting! Great deal!
I was waiting until after my baby shower/birthday party on the 30th to buy the set I am getting but I was at Wal-Mart today and they're discontinuing the high chair and swing in that collection and I don't know why! So I bought the high chair for $70 (originally $120) today and when OH gets off of work I am going back to buy the swing for $60 (originally $110) as well! I also bought a cute little white bassinet today for $40 and sheets. So now I'm waiting for my shower to get my play set and stroller/high chair!

aww congratulations! that's so cute. how beautiful for a little girl. i have a bassinet, its a white one, that i had given to me from FOB's sister. it's been used but still so beautiful, i'll be using it for the first little while since my room is way too small for a crib.

My LO's nursery is 2 floors above me
So on the nights that she's really restless and in the beginning I'll have her in the bassinet with me in my room downstairs.
And if she ever stays at her Grandma's house or anything the bassinet will definitely come in handy because it's so easy to move!

Awh, yay! The crib was the verrry first thing I bought! I've been so busy buying baby stuff and getting ready before he comes. But, the thing that get me really excited is buying him clothes. Because, then you picture your baby in them and everything. Love it!

omgosh i know, the clothes are so cute to look at. i'm gunna try and hold off til my babyshower before i go nuts with the clothes, unless i see a really good deal or something i absolutely HAVE to have

I am the same way with clothes! I just love buying them and getting them!! I REALLY need to get the big stuff though. I still have yet bought a swing, crib, stoller, car seat or anything really. Just clothes. I need to get a move on!

see it's funny i love clothes but i'm avoiding buying any of that which most people start with and instead jumped right to the crib. next thing i plan to purchase in a month or two would be a changing table/dresser, i want a changing table with drawers at the bottom and i plan on using that. i think FOB will be buying that or me though, because i'm demanding he does haha.

Phew. Just but together the swing and bassinet. Harder than OH and I thought it would be, haha. The crib and changing table was the first thing I bought. Uh, I actually had to buy 2. I bought a brown crib and I wanted a white one and I started painting it but it got SO messed up so we had to give up... We'll finish painting it one day and sell it though. Then I bought a actual white crib and changing table. After I found out it was a girl I went clothes crazy. The closet is full and it's only 0-3 months sizes... Silly me...

I went crazy with clothes buying as soon as I found out the sex at 16 weeks! Then we gradually bought the crib, changing table, dresser, pack n play, car seat, stroller, swing, etc...!! It is all so much fun to shop for and to build (although i've discovered that baby equipment instructions are the WORST WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS EVER - they're not even written. there's just pictures with a little tiny mention of what you're supposed to do and that's it. ugh!).
