I coughed and a gush of water came out. Should I be concerned?

Hi all,

So I've had a terrible cold and I've been coughing the last three days. I was taking a nap, I coughed and a gush of clear warm liquid came out of my vagina. There was enought to wet the sheets. Any idea if this is a cause for concern?

This must be a thing at 35 weeks lol. I was just casually stood washing dishes on Friday night when I had warm fluid come out enough to wet my pants and leggings. I panicked as I'd had some plug earlier In the day so put a pad on and phoned l&d midwife there said it didn't sound like my waters as I'd know and if the pad was wet in an hour or so to phone back. The pad was bone dry and I've had nothing since so I've come to the conclusion I wet myself without knowing, lovely!

Could you have pee'd yourself? I've heard so many women doing that late on in pregnancy! I know I have had some mini accidents sometimes if I sneeze or get the giggles! x

After some googling and your responses, I'm starting to think I peed a bit but ill Leroy know if so,etching changes with my situation

I've had two instances where I peed a bit when sneezing-- could be that! One of the joys of pregnancy...

Sounds like a bit of wee.. Don't worry, its happened to me a few times too!

I've properly pee'd my pants twice so far...once at 37+2 and once at 38+2 I called my midwife in a panic the first time and she said to lay down and if I keep leaking that much when I get up then it's my waters...it didn't happen again for a week so it was obviously pee the 2nd time I didn't bother calling her but the worst part was that I was standing in a starbucks happily chatting away to a barista I know thankfully it wasn't much and I just put my bag in front of me until I got out of there and rushed home!

Since then I've been having small leaks when changing position, standing up, coughing or laughing...but it's definitely pee because I wear a pad to make sure

I have wet myself when sneezing about 3 times so far and I'm not as far along as u ladies! I keep meaning to do those keegels...

I know it's gross but urine usually has a smell where amniotic fluid doesn't. I have started wearing a panty liner so I can check these things.

I got really sick when I was about 28 weeks and I was having coughing fits constantly and I peed mysf twice lol I probably would have thought waters also if this wasn't my second pregnancy and can tell the difference but it is sooo not glamorous lol. I was in the car with my husband on a long trip and I had the coughing fit and said agh babe you need to pull into the nearest servo I just peed myself lol he was not impressed but we both just laughed it off. Hopefully it is just wee but maybe try a pad just in case and see if anything happens.

I've peed on myself twice.....today maybe! I laugh because until my 3rd child this was never an issue (and secretly laughed at all those people telling me to do my kegels!).

Now on my 4th and 39 years old, peeing on myself is a daily occurrence whether I'm pregnant or not!

I peed on myself...right after getting up from the toilet from peeing Always a bit nervous since my water broke with DD but it was such a small leak it was really hard to tell. So embarrassing

I mentioned this to my MW yesterday and she said it could well have Ben leucorrhea (sp?) or my show with me losing bits of plug on that day and not to worry. I am still losing plug now that's been over serveral days :-/

I do it all the time lately lol! Had cold for just over a week and everytime i cough or sneeze pee comes out! I feel so sexy right now! Haha

Haha I remember a few days after I delivered DD my muscles were all to shot and when I felt I needed to pee it would just come I couldn't stop it so I would literally pee myself! After a few weeks of doing pelvic floor exercises I got back to normal.
