The last few days I have had a dull pain in my lower back / hip area ( really not a big deal for me as I suffer from SPD)
It is really bad when I lie in bed or stand for any length of time.
I just assumed I had over done it ( we were at my mothers house on Saturday asssembling some new furnature she had bought)
DH left this morning to go over to her house to finish up what we had started.
About an hour ago, I was playing with our toddler when I felt a really " wetness" in my underpants.
I went to the washroom ( warning TMI coming up) and there was a dime size glob of yellowy jelly type mucus.
I know as pregnancy progresses " dischrage" increases but this was alot thicker.
I sat on the loo for about 30 sec. longer and I felt something " pass" again.. and it appeared to be more of the same stuff that was in my underware but this time it had what looked like a pink tinge to it.
I don't know if I should be concerned, was that my mucus plug ?
I don't know if I should call my DH home and ring the MW.
What do you think ?

I don't want to scare you, but it sounds like mucus plug to me... please see a doctor or at least call your MW!!! Hope everything is ok with you!!!!!

I have paged the MW and am waiting for her to call me back...

Defo call your MW i hope all is ok and its nothing to be concerned about. I suffer with SPD too :(

:hugs: SPD, is an awful thing.. I haven't gotten to the point of having to use crutches but there are no long walks or stair climbing..

MW called back and she suggested that maybe I have over done it and to rest.
Apparently it is common for women who have had several children to lose small amounts of the mucus plug when doing alot of crouching or when constipated.

What a relief, you are fine. Hope you are having good rest and back to norm.

Take it easy ;-)

I am finding this pregnancy by far harder.. I have been sick on and off all the way through, I am WAY bigger than I was with the girls , yet I have only gained about 8lbs, I have alot more achs and pains than I remember having.
I am still losing small amounts of mucus ( esp. when I have a BM)
I also seem breathless when climbing the stair :dohh:
