I accidentally rolled up the window on my daughters neck! I just feel horrible and really uneasy right now. I just want to cry and snuggle her, but she is already over it.

We were driving somewhere and I parked. She had got unbuckled like normal. I was worried I parked in a puddle, but I didnt think it was a big deal. I started to roll up the windows all 4 at the same time and I heard a little thump, thump. THANK GOD I turned around to look. She was flapping her arms with her head sticking out of the window I had rolled it up just enough to start to choke her!

Luckily all turned out ok. She cried and coughed a little, and thank god it was only for a second or 2 before I got the window down. She had a red mark that has gone away but I think we are both traumatized now. I am wondering now, isnt there some kind of sensor on windows that would have stopped that from happening? Just like a garage door would. Im pissed that there isnt!

Well I hope that this never happens to me again...and to all of you reading take my experiance with you and I hope it doesnt happen to you either.

That is a shame! Accidents will happen, no point in feeling bad about it (easier said than done I know )

I bet you will be paranoid putting the windows up for a long time to come :flower:

Aww it must have been horrible but you didnt do it on purpose and your daughter will know that. xxx

I'm thinking the same, about a year ago my 3yo had his little arm out while I was putting his window up and I felt like dying. She forget tho don't worry.

:hugs: We all do things by accident. She is OK.

:hugs: I know you feel horrible but try not to dwell on it, it was an accident and your daughter is okay. I am sure that just as you will be double checking before rolling up your windows she will be sure to not stick her head out of one. :hugs:

:hugs: At least she's ok now. I know a lot of new cars have sensor things on them so this has obviously happened quite a lot.

every parent does things by accident - i can write a book on the things i have done by mistake! i always find that giving them a treat helps - both my son and i although it takes a while for the gulit to go xxx

it was an accident hun, i wouldnt dwell on it. she is ok now and thats the main thing :)

Dont beat yourself mama!! We all have little moments that we are not paying attention, and accidents happen. She is fine, and that is what is important. Hugs!

aww Hun! Thank goodness you looked! go ahead and give her the extra snuggles :)
