I finally have a chance! First time Clomid user May 2016, any buddies out there??

I have been ttc for over a year and have not ovulated once. I am starting my first round of 50mg of Clomid tonight cd5-9. I am excited that I finally have a chance at ttc, but terrified that it wont work and I will be disappointed.

Anyone want to buddy up. First time users or experienced users welcome!

I'm taking Clomid, too. I just took my 3rd round. It's day 15 of my cycle. I'm not doing the whole ultrasound, opks, or charting. I'm just taking the Clomid and hoping for the best at this point.

I'm right there with you, though! My husband and I have been trying for a few months. I'm about to be 30, I have PCOS, and I'm worried I waited too long. I'm trying to remain optimistic. Hopefully you're optimistic, too, so we can be optimistic together (especially during the tww).

Littleyogini thanks! I'm not doing ultrasounds but I am going to do OPKs and a progesterone draw. I want to confirm ovulation since I don't ovulate on my own. Are you ovulating naturally? Do you get your own cycles?

Right now I have to induce cycles with provera or birth control. If clomid helps me ovulate I will hopefully get my own cycles! Yes, let's be optimistic! 30 is definitely not too late, i am turning 33 next month. I can't believe I am in my 30s, I still feel like a 25 year old! While I am sad that I did not catch my PCOS earlier in my life, I really wasn't ready to have kids in my 20s. I am in a solid place in my life right now and this is the perfect time.

What dosage of clomid are you on? Any side effects? I took my first 50mg tablet last night, I had a mild headache this morning but that was it.

Are you ovulating naturally?
I don't think I was ovulating before I started taking Clomid. I honestly haven't confirmed whether I'm ovulating after I've started taking Clomid. I tried doing OPKs with the first cycle, but they're expensive. I bought a 10-pack, and I took one a day. None of them were positive.

What dosage of clomid are you on?
I'm on 50mg. If I don't get pregnant after this cycle, my doc says she's going to increase the dosage to 100mg.

Any side effects?
I haven't noticed any side effects. My cycles have become much shorter since I started taking Clomid. I have PCOS, so my cycles ranged from 45-70 days. After my first cycle of Clomid, my cycle was 35 days. After this second cycle, my cycle was exactly 28 days!

I don't ovulate or have my periods naturally. I was on BCP for about 13 years so it masked my PCOS symptoms and made me have a fake period each month. I have to induce a cycle with BCP or provera. I am on 50mg, hopefully this does the trick. My guess is that if you are having periods than you are probably ovulating. These are the cheapie OPK sticks I bought from Amazon. I never buy then from the store!

Its awesome that Clomid is regulating your cycles, I hope it does that for me too!
