That's a quote from my LO or so it feels like anyway!

Does anyone have any tips to power through the fussy eating stage? He can't survive on rice cakes!

Not keen on being spoon fed savoury food, I've tried not pureeing and he doesn't seem to like much meat, pasta, some vegetables (that he has ate in the past as a puree)
He has started pursing his lips, sticking his tongue out and spitting it out!

He ate everything at the beginning - argh why's it going wrong!

Just keep offering it and don't make a big deal out of it if LO refuses. Milk's still the most important thing so I'd just go at his pace. I would try not to always jump to offering a sweet alternative as that might reinforce the fussiness. Lucas went through a SERIOUSLY awkward fussy stage, I think we're starting to come out of it now, thank god! Just gotta prepare for the next one ;) haha

Different flavors helped me. My lil guy wouldnt touch cottage cheese until i added a little garlic powder and dill!! Believe that! Lol. The only thing he wont eat now is eggs!
Also my niece was super picky and as it turns out she was holding out for the yogurt she ALWAYS gets. She refused anything savory until my sis gave in and gave her yogurt...i would avoid sweet until the savory is being eaten maybe?

Just keep trying different things and also offering some things you know he likes. They go through these phases. We had a particularly bad one around 9 months where my daughter would pretty much only eat fruit or yogurt. I just kept offering her things like I always would. One day something just clicked and she dug in and ate a massive slice of quiche and since then she's been eating like a champ again. I would suggest though maybe backing off on the spoonfeeding and letting him feed himself. You can give him the same things, like porridge in a bowl, and let him dig in and feed himself. That might encourage more interest and make it less stressful for him if he has more control.
