I hate my nutrition specialist :)

This woman has been through a lot with me, lol.. she took over for an old lady I saw for 3 years and I've now been seeing her for 3. She's very young and since I saw her.. quite often.. due to my unhealthy eating habits, we became somewhat close, lol.

WELL TODAY I HATE HER. She's always been very blunt and to be honest a bit b*tchy, I remember I got my weight down to 90lbs and was pretty happy with myself and she told me it wasn't attractive, etc. Today was awful though. She lectured me on how I make awful food choices, whereas if this appointment had been a couple years ago, she would have applauded me for eating dirt, I swear.

She also suggested I take fibre pills, salmon oil supplement things, and calcium supplements IN ADDITION to my prenatal vitamins. What bulllll.. I'm sorry but I am not taking 1 prenatal vitamin, 1 calcium supplement, 3 salmon oil pills, and 1-2 fibre pills (as and if they are needed) ~ totalling up to a whopping 7 LARGE supplementary pills.. every single day!

Also told me to get out and be more physically active. 30-60 minutes EVERY DAY of physical activity.. I know she hasn't been pregnant but didn't believe me how much easier said than done that is, I'm always sooo tired.. I work a minimum of 30 hours per week and have school full time. I DO NOT have energy for that, seriously. When I get home I can't go for a 30 minute walk and it's freeeeezing out, she told me NOT to work out at a gym or anything though.

Ooh and I thought it was better to eat smaller meals more often? B*tch told me to eat 3 meals a day at set times to control my weight better.. I just feel so lost in all of this, lol. I've gained more weight than I wanted to by this point, and she's telling me it's got to slow down, which just makes me not want to eat.. urghh.

PS to everyone out there.. don't take fish oil pills they are disgusting and if you burp, etc. it tastes like fish :rofl:
 
Wow are you full of pills now or what? Who has room for food! The fiber may be a good pill to keep with all that iron you are taking. Trust me constipation is so nasty if you have not had that yet! I hope it works out for you Hun :) I say do not see her if she makes you feel bad.
 
LOL yes I've definitely had the constipation thing that's why she told me to take a fibre pill or two when I'm having a "bad day" lol.. I know, seriously, it's a meal of pills she's suggesting.. ergh.. I booked my follow up appointment with her and I'm going to be a b*tch and cancel the day of.. muah hahaha..

Dont worry about ur nutritionist she obviously has no clue about how hard pregnancy really is!!!Let alone working 30 hours and still going for a walk after!!!:happydance:

smaller meals through the day is better for pregnancy AND weight loss - keeps your blood sugars more level but DO NOT try to lose weight until after the baby is born.

With some women eating 3 larger meals can make them throw up when pregnant.
