I like Jacob although James is nice too. Jacob-James sounds nice its not too much of a mouthful IMO like you can get with same letter first and middle names.
I prefer Jacob but when we thought we had a blue bump I crossed it off my list because it means 'supplanter' which although I am not sure of the meaning I know it is bad.

would like to point out that James and Jacob have the same meaning and yes supplanter is what they mean- a supplanter is one who takes anothers position. I named my son Jacob because its biblical not because of what it actually means but here is something I found on a website to explain further to me its not a BAD meaning probably not the best but that doesnt mean anything about the child called that in anyway and I love the name it fits my son perfectly not for the meaning just for the name
a supplanter is one who takes the place or moves into the position of another. Readd the story of Issac's sons, Jacob and Esau. Jacob was known as the supplanter for what he perpetrated on Esau.
