I love nursing. I am now dreading the day when Bren starts really eating solid foods and I will no longer be his source of nurtrician. It makes me sad to think about. I don't plan to stop anytime soon. I hope he nurses for a good long time.

I totally feel ya!!!! I was gonna stop at christmas...no way.... x

I always thought you felt like this - all your posts reflect how much you love him and love nursing him. It's lovely to read.
I feel the same too - and to think I nearly didn't do it! I'm so glad I gave it a shot now.
And just think how much money we're saving too!!!

I know I was thinking about this Im just going to continue till she wants to stop, I love the whole experience with feeding I was just cuddling up in bed with her before putting her down and after her feed she used my boobie as a pillow( well they are warm and comfy ) Ill miss it when it stops

You make it sound like a bad thing that you enjoy it so much. I think it's so lovely. I am so keen to bf and hope that I enjoy it as much as all you other ladies seem to. I'm sure he will bf for awhile yet, even when he's starting to eat more solids, he will be enjoying it as much as you do. Apparently we in the Western World wean very early compared to developing countries who continue bfing for 4 yrs and beyond? Not sure if that's true, thought I had read it somewhere.

We should all be proud of ourselves. It's a wonderful thing. Let's do a collective pat on the back for perservering through the tough times and coming out the other side. Feel the love sistas! x

I didn't mean to make it sound slike a bad thing. I had just been reading the threads on weaning, and really realized I don't want to wean my son anytime soon. In yoga the teacher asked us all what balanaces us in our day to day lives as new mothers, and I said nothing, but later in the class when I was nursing Bren, I knew that BFing keeps me balanced.

Yep, the world average is 4-5 years. We in the west push our babies to do a lot of things they are not ready for.

Awww i've only just started to enjoy it, like the past few days :happydance: Now i'm really scared to express and give her a bottle (when we're out) incase she wont go back
