Hi All! I'm new to the site, but have been reading posts since I have been TTC and always was so inspired by your stories!

To make a long story short, it is really easy for me to get pregnant, however last MAY 8th I had a MC. The doctor said to try again, and immediately I got pregnant. There was a negative test on Friday, positive faint on Saturday, Positive electronic on Sunday and Positive blood on Tuesday (Today is Wed).

Last time, when I had the MC, I noticed I ovulate late- Day19. Immediately since I found out I started spotting, and Miscarried at 5-6 weeks.

Since I found out this time, I have been lightly spotting everyday. The doctor prescribed progesterone suppositories and while on progesterone I didn't spot, but then this morning and throughout the day, I spotted again!
The blood work came back positive, but extremely low (hcg levels at 85) and progesterone levels at a good 28.
My cervix is closed, and I feel tired but I don't have any extreme symptoms. Apparently, I am 4 weeks, but remember I ovulate late.
Is anyone positive on this? or should I not get my hopes up? Please anyone with positive experiences will help me so much, but also the truth will help me!

Ps. This will be my first child, I don't have any children yet.

Thank you so much for reading me!!!

I'm sorry I don't have any experience on HCG levels as I've never had any blood work for that reason but I just wanted to wish you the best and I hope this is your sticky bean :dust:

If you are only 4 weeks (or possibly less) then your hCG is quite fine and your progesterone is fabulous. And as someone who has been on progesterone for about half my pregnancies (I have a history of recurrent miscarriage), I can tell you that spotting can be a side effect of the supplements. You are sticking a hormone pill right up there next to your cervix (even if you are using the suppositories). Since you are pregnant, your cervix is very swollen, sensitive, and has increased blood flow to it. You put a hormone like progesterone right there and it frequently causes irritation that leads to spotting/bleeding. Many women who take progesterone have spotting while supplementing.

As for positive stories I have 3. My son was born full term after my dr diagnosed low progesterone levels in the first trimester (after I had 3 consecutive losses). My daughter was born 2 years later and I used progesterone & a daily baby aspirin with both of those pregnancies. I'm currently awaiting the birth of my 3rd child in the next few weeks and again, I was able to get through my 1st trimester with progesterone and baby aspirin. Hang in there. I know it's scary to be pregnant after a loss but there are many of us here who have made it to term. And many of us women have had early spotting too. I myself have had bleeding with my daughter's pregnancy and with my current baby I bled for 5 weeks straight yet here I am labor watching at 36 weeks. So even the scary spotting doesn't necessarily mean the end. Good luck and here's to hoping this is your rainbow baby!

So early in pregnancy, it's less the original numbers and more what those numbers do in 2 to 3 days time. Most physicians tell you the numbers in an early, healthy pregnancy should double every 42 to 72 hours. If your follow up test shows doubling or nearly doubling hcg levels, you're probably doing great.
