I slept like a baby last night!

Was up every 3 hours, cried in my sleep, very nearly wet the bed and decided 5am would be a great time to start my day

Where the hell does that saying come from?? Soooo tired this morning my eyes feel like they are bleeding.....

Sleeping like a baby is the worst saying ever! Obviously the person who came up with it didn't have a baby of their own!

I think it's because there's tons of pictures out there of sleeping babies. Someone, a childless someone, probably just assumed babies are peaceful and sleep a lot!

Little did they know, all of those pictures were taken by sleep deprived parents who wanted to capture the peacefully sleeping baby on film because it was so rare and they wanted a reminder that it IS possible!

It could have come from a preemie baby....they sleep ALL the time. Fall asleep the moment they stop moving, etc....I commented SEVERAL times that must be where the term comes from, because they sleep and sleep and sleep through anything!

LO has just started acting like regular baby, fussing and not sleeping well...I swear the past two nights I might have gotten 4 hours of sleep? We went to bed at 11 after he fed at 10, he wanted to feed again at 11, and at 12, and at 12:45, and then DH rocked him to sleep at 1:30 finally...luckily he slept well until I woke him up at 4:00 to eat (he still needs to be woken to eat, per docs) and did drift off to sleep easily after...I swear every night he gets more difficult. By the time he gets to be term....he might be a nightmare!

Haha snap that was my night last night but more like every hour not every 3!

Although ds slept like a baby should at 8.30am for 4 hours! 4 friggin hours!!!
