I am now petrified as I haven’t felt bubs move regularly in about 4 days, I have been felling small kicks from 15 weeks and good strong thumps from 17weeks. Now it’s like weak nudges or hiccups I have my scan on Thursday at 2.25pm but now I'm really worried something’s wrong

My hospital won’t take me seriously as I'm not far enough gone to have ‘regular movement’ and I keep getting sharp pains throughout the day it’s like round ligament pain I think. My MW says ‘as long as you’re not bleeding your fine’
I'm so worried  it feels like ages until Thursday :/ x

I had the same thing at 20 weeks, rung NHS direct and said I was in pain.

They basically told me to take paracetamol and where like "Oh, you're 20 weeks, so guesing you haven't been feeling movement yet!"

I felt her move everyday since 14 weeks, you know what is regular for your baby, please go get seen if you think something is wrong.

just go to a&e!
serious!! i did it one night, and although it turned out to be nothing... it could have been something
text me if you need anything xxx

I’m going up to my doctors tomorrow to see if they will use a Doppler and check or refer me otherwise my hospital will make me sit in A&E for like 4 hours and not scan me due to being 'too early' and having an appointment on Thursday. I hope my locals take me more seriously xx

just make sure that if there is any bleeding, or any dizziness or anything like that, don't wait.
:hugs: i am sure everything will be fine, but just better to be safe.

however, tonight, you could ease your mind a little... drinking iced water, could increase baby's movement, or like fizzy drinks... xxx

Going to go see what fizzy drinks I have and going to lay down and see xxx

have u noticed if ur normally in a particular position when u feel bubs move?

i find lying on my right side, and fizzy drinks or iced water help get bubs rather active but it doesnt always work for some people.

it could just be that bubs is facing your back and kicking that way so you won't necessarily feel it ... thats what happened at my 20 week scan, the night before it i was worried about movements but as my scan at 8:40 the following morning i wasnt in pain or bleeding so wasnt quite so worried, turns out they were facing my back which i y i cudnt feel him/her moving as much ... the scan clearly showed a wriggly kicking baby!!!

good luck hun and keep us updated :)

I got some really horrible pains at around 20weeks too but they turned out to be growing pains. Bubs is going through quite a growth spurt atm. But like caomihe and donna said you know your body and bubs best by now. If you feel like something is wrong then you have every right to demand to be seen by a doc/mw.
:hugs: I really hope its nothing hun..xx

bubs kicked (weak kicks) after turning over 100 times and gentle pokes!

Well thats something then hun! Baby is still quite small so you won't feel every kick and roll until you ar about 25-28 weeks, thats when they say you should be feeling movement everyday I think!

I know in my area, we have a drop in midwife session at sure start centre on a Friday from 9-10? Maybe see if you have anything like that in your area? Just to drop in and hear the heartbeat...or just ring your MW, her number should be on your notes! Hopefully she will be able to put your mind at rest

4 days!! Id be in hospital if i hadnt felt LO move for 4 hrs.....When i was 26wks i didnt feel her, rang maternity ward & went in and just had heartbeat checked.....Thank god she was ok :)

www.count-the-kicks.org.uk........Scary stuff but worth a read!!

that article is what scared the shit out of me :haha:
I felt movment everyday just not alot or as strong as before xxx

I was told to only start kick counting after 28 weeks, so I wouldn't worry too much :) but you're doing the right thing going to get checked out tomorrow :) but like some of the other girls suggested, trying drinking something really cold or eating ice cream, it sometimes helps xx

try drinking something like lucozade hun and sit still for a while and see if your feeling anything, i had an anterior placenta with my son which noone bothered to tell me about after 35weeks i stopped feeling him move as much they didnttell me i had anterior placenta til 39weeks when theyd known all along and i was in and out of hospital having him monitored! xx

sounds like babys having a growth spurt... mine did around your time and most people will say the same... they do tend to go quite when they are growing... your babys still pretty small hun so i wouldnt worry as long as your still feeling some movement... try drinking something reallly ice cold that usualy gets them going... my LO would have really quite days and i would worry... now he never stops!
