Just made the mistake of reading a thread in Baby Club where people were saying their OHs let them lie in on a Sunday :( I so want a lie in it's not fair!!!

Nothing against the ladies on that thread, its not their fault, they are just so lucky!

Those threads should have a warning.

**WARNING - Single Mummies This Could Make You Extremely Jealous**

I think this is possibly the ONLY reason I want an OH!

A lie in would be wonderful!
Definitely wishful thinking for us :haha: xx

Hahaha i read the same thread and the jealous bit of my brain just muttered 'lucky cow'

That would be fab!! Also would be great to have an OH, so when you want to cook and eat some food in peace you could say 'Ohh, play with LO for a bit while i do dinner'. so then you wouldn't have to be cooking with a child on your hip, or running to and from the play pen checking on her, or having to stop every time she cries! Lol.

i had to cook a risotto last night with kai crying at the gate. he refused his nap yesterday so was incredibly grumpy. nothing would placate him so i just left him to cio but i kept on speaking to him. nowt wrong except being overtired but oit would have been so much easier has i had an oh to deal with him!

im quite lucky in the lie in respect coz my 2 like their sleep and i often get till half 8 or 9 which for me is a long lie and im quite happy about that but in the days they are up ealry i stick on cartoons off you tube on my iphone! that is a god send!!

I put Ollie in a highchair in the kitchen when I have to cook and then in his baby bouncer when I have a shower as I just worry about him when I am home alone with him. He can't even walk or crawl yet I still panic that he will end up in trouble!
My parents sometimes give me a lie in but they are busy people too.

i have an OH and I have never had a lie in .... and now after 19months its still an issue we are now going through the stages of splitting as he just hasnt been fair not just on this but other issues, i have been a single parent for a long time! ...

keep strong ladies x:thumbup:

dont post often in this section but im so with you on that one.

callum stayed at my mums the other night cos i had to be at work for 7 and he slept til 11. why doesnt he do that for me!!!!

I am single now, but felt like a single mum right from the minute the clearblue said "pregnant". I would get jealous of threads like that even when I had an OH so if I had to pick between having him back and being a single mum, i would def go for this life!!

But OMG there are some fabulous FOBs and partners out there who run baths, give massages, cook dinner, seriously, how do i find me one of those???

xx

haha your thread did make me chuckle, My partner works long hours and has a very physical job so he is very tired when gets home and the weekends is the only time he can catch up on sleep so in the last 3 years i havent had many lie ins!! maybe 5 lol
