Maria has started saying this when its time for her to go to her dad's. Yesterday was really hard, she refused to get dressed to go and kept running away to her room. I know she has a good time once she's there as I skype every day and see her happily playing but she hates leaving. How do I deal with this? (also her dad says she's the same way when she has to leave his to come back to mine, though he might just be saying that because he's upset about it)

It's normal behavior for kids with split parents.

My oldest does the same when he goes to stay at grandmas house . I just tell him well it's time to go to grandmas cause she misses you and wants to see you too

Glad its normal behaviour. I tried telling her that daddy misses her and thats why she goes there and she said she misses him so I thought great, now she gets it and then she said she wants to stay in mummy home and just keep missing him :dohh:

I wish I knew what to suggest hunni. I don't know what I'd do in that situation. When goes to his dads he refuses to speak to me, and vice versa when he's here he won't talk to his dad! Obviously I don't like it but I'd rather that than him not wanting to go to his dads, or worse come home. I hope she starts going happily, it must be so hard.

For a while she didn't want to talk to me much when she was there but now she gets really angry if I say I have to hang up on skype :(
