So I wanna go and do an access course that lasts a yr followed by 3 yr undergaduate degree ...oh works and we get wtc,ctc and hb ...any ideas would i get help with childcare costs ? or should i wait 5 yrs for all babies to be in fulltime school ?

If you do an access course at a sixth forum college full time and are on benefits you do get childcare costs paid for I think, and I think the course would be free as well.

At university, you will get 85% of childcare costs paid for.

Hope this helps hun x x

I never realised that thank-you :) I would ideally like to start sept cos Ethan starts nursery and I would only need to find fulltime childcare for Lily x

Social work :D my only grind is everybody hates Social workers but growing up in care its something i have always wanted to do

I was thinking of doing that too hun..

I definately reccomend this forum for looking up on current social work issues..might come in handy when you go for your interview for uni one day.

Social work is a really good profession hun, and because of your experience you will have a lot more empathy.

Yeah and ive met my mix of social workers

I am a Social Worker and not everyone hates us really. I love it so if you need any help let me know.

You shouldnt have said that, because now I want to bombard you with questions  x x x

me too ...I know not everybody but a lot of my ex foster carers ect oh and my real mum because sw was so evil:haha: to remove me from her care when she was letting her BF do alsorts and i had several old injuries :dohh:my real mum as no brain ... my ex foster carers somtimes drew the short straw i get it ...and i know when i get home i wont be the evil sw i can shut the door although in some cases i am not so sure i would be able to but i guess you learn xx

Yeah, it was like that when I used to nurse you learn to not get too emotionally involved if you did you couldnt do your job. Things do effect you but you learn to be empathetic over time x x x

Just to add eventhough the access course is classed as a full time course, 2 people I know that are doing it are only actually at college about 16 hours a week.
