Ideas for making money from home? **UK**

I live in a rural area and can't drive so there aren't many job opportunities within my reach. However I desperately need to make some extra money so just wondering if anyone has any ideas for making money from home?

I think if you're looking for "anything" you probably won't do as well as if you think what you're good at and what you enjoy and use that as your starting point. What jobs have you done before, what skills did you use? What are your interests and areas of special knowledge? Can any of those things be made into paid work?

Well I didn't work before! I was at college until I was 20 and fell pregnant a year later. I'm quite crafty but those things are so time consuming and quite expensive to fund to begin with :/

I am a Scentsy consultant. It cost me £85 plus delivery to get started.
I treat it like a shop or small business I would own outside (upside is I can do it from home and I don't drive so needed something that was flexible).

Its now enabled me to not need to go to work outside and its continually growing.

They open in Spain and France too on the 10th of this month.

They are giving an extra £40 worth in the business kit this month for the same price this month also.

Scentsy is flame free wax melts and no smoking or soot ...its really now starting to take off here and in Europe.

You could do a little eBay business, I know a few ladies who buy in bulk from China (clothes, jewellery, trinkets etc) and sell them on individually.
Perhaps contact local businesses and offer to run their social media for a fee. A lot of small businesses run PPC campaigns so you could take a short course in it (I believe a lot are run online), and market yourself as an Adwords specialist, offer to boost clicks and lower spending. It's actually really easy but a lot of businesses just leave campaigns to run on their own which costs more in the long run.
If you have any special skills ie crafting/musical instruments/drawing/foreign language, you could offer lessons from your home. Or even set up regular meet-up groups and charge a fee (there are a few groups on meetup.com that charge).

I agree with Rachel C it'll be a lot easier if you have a starting point you're familiar with, it'll make work more interesting for you and also set you apart. If you've not got anything you can think of using to build something from, it might be worth looking into courses etc

I had to leave my job at 6 months pregnant and move cross country for my husband's career. So I never had the opportunity to get maternity leave/pay. I was stressed out at home worrying about how we were going to afford another baby. After a lot of time looking online I finally found a free program that has been making me decent money for the past month. I am due in a couple weeks and feel a lot more at ease with our financial situation. Message me for details:winkwink:
