I only ask as there is a sign in L&D that says no one with a cold is permitted on the floor. I understand this is for visitors as they want to keep the germs off the floor but thought it might apply to elective births as well?? I know if your sick and in labor there isn't anything they can do...just curious if anyone knows? I have a c-section scheduled for Thursday morning and feel a cold coming on.

Did you get an answer to this?

I ask because my sister who is also pregnant is in a similar position.

I see from your ticker that your LO has arrived - congratulations :) x

i am wondering about this too!! feel rough and my section is next week:(

I called my hospital and asked, they will not cancel due to a cold. They did suggest I call my doctor if I had a fever to ask what she would want to do but thankfully all was well in the end. Wish you girls the best of luck!! :hugs:

Hi, I noticed you are in Maine, and I was wondering where you had your elective c-section? My husband is currently stationed in Korea, and even though he will be back in the States by the due date, he will be in a school down in Georgia. We really want an elective c-section so it can be scheduled and he can be there. I just finished my time in service and came back from Korea, myself. So, I am really at a loss on where to go for this, and all my friends say they think it will be very difficult to find a doctor who will do one. I am looking around the Portland, ME area. Any advice or insight you could offer would be so appreciated! Thanks!
