I am trying to work out roughly what dress size I may need for my dads wedding in June abroad in Greece. I am a size 8-10 now and 5'6 and always been slim. What size approx did you lovely ladies go up to? Dress is store bought from Monsoon so not an option to have fittings etc. Thanksx

I was a 8-10 Pre pregnancy and have been wearing size 8 maternity jeans/leggings and size 10 maternity tops. At around 26 weeks I was wearing size 12 non maternity tops/dresses :flower: xx

I was going to suggest getting a maternity dress Hun, quite hard to predict though! I didn't start showing at all til around 25 weeks and was still wearing Pre-pregnancy jeans at that point

thanks girlies xxx I will get a 14 and at least I can take it in if I need to and maybe even buy a 16 just in case

Unless it's a tent style dress you'll need a maternity dress, or a seamstress to adapt it to fit you. . By 6 months you'll have a good bump - if you just wear a couple of sizes larger it might fit your belly but will have arm holes that are too big etc. The front of your dress will also be much shorter than the back.

I've stayed the same size all over but just have a big bump. I've gone up 2 dress sizes in some none maternity clothes but I'm still wearing some of the same trousers and tops as I liked stretchy clothes before.

I am normally a size 8/10 on top and a 10 on the bottom. I'm now 26 weeks and can only wear maternity trousers, but depending on the top fit into a 10,12 or 14. I think it's too hard to predict what the dress will be like in a size, and what you'll be like at 26 weeks so would strongly advise you go for maternity. I wore a non maternity dress at 17 1/2 weeks to a wedding and although it was a maxi dress, it didn't flatter at all. Maternity dresses are cut to suit better, and if you google, they don't have to be massively expensive.

I'm a size 10 b4 pregnancy, and just a size 10 with a bump now at 35 weeks. I'd wait till as close to the time as you can then buy a dress/ outfit specifically cut as a maternity item otherwise it might drown you. Also you could always sell it on on ebay afterwards so you didn't feel like you had wasted your money. Enjoy the wedding!

I agree with PoppyPainting. Different women show at different times. I'm 36 weeks now and just in the past couple of weeks have I really "popped" out there. I'm still wearing all my regular elastic sized pants (some are small, some are mediums tho a few are finally getting snug around my belly)

I'd wait as long as possible before buying your outfit to wait and see how your belly is looking

hiya, i was a 8 to 10 before i got pregnant, i had my work xmas party 3 weeks ago so i would have been about 24 weeks, and wore a size 10 dress, i still fit into size 10 jeans, marternity ones though, and i still fit into all my size 8 to 10 tops.

I'd get a maxi dress. By 26weeks my bump wasn't massive but my boobs had grown so needed 10-12 max but not maternity dresses.

Am in size 10 maternity jeans and tops are a 12-14 long stretchy type tops. For your dress though it will depend on the material. I was showing quite a bit at 26 weeks. I'd try and get a maternity dress if you can though as like pp said it will fit much better x

Are u pregnant yet if you are planning on being 6 months pregnant in 6 months?!

I was in size 8/10 still then at 30+ weeks I was size 16!! Back to size 8/10 now after having LO.

Xx

Hi I was a small size 8 before and am now 26 weeks an can't fit in any non maternity clothes :( I have a huge bump all out tr front! I tried a size 16 non maternity long dress on a few weeks ago and it just looked awful so if poss as others have said get a maternity one nearer the time.... Maybe u could get one that blends with the others?

8/10 pre pregnancy & still 8/10 @ 39 weeks. Everyones different :)
